THE FIBER OPTIC ASSOCIATION, INC. (FOA) IS THE NON-PROFIT INTERNATIONALPROFESSIONAL SOCIETY OF FIBER OPTICS WHICH PROMOTES PROFESSIONALISM INFIBER OPTICS THROUGH EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND STANDARDS. THE FOACREATES TECHNICAL REFERENCE MATERIAL AND TRAINING CURRICULUM FOR SCHOOLS TOUSE FOR THE TRAINING OF FIBER OPTIC TECHNICIANS AND PREPARING THEM FOR FOACERTIFICATION. IN THE LAST YEAR, NEARLY 200 SCHOOLS WORLDWIDE SUBMITTEDAPPROXIMATELY 5000 NEW CERTIFICATIONS TO THE FOA, MAKING THE TOTAL NUMBEROF CERTIFICATIONS SINCE OUR FOUNDING OVER 47,000.
