TO HONOR THE MEMORY OF MAX WARBURG BY STRENGTHENING THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND LITERACY SKILLS OF STUDENTS AND EMPOWERING THEM TO RECOGNIZE THE ROLE OF COURAGE IN THEIR OWN LIFE.

FOR OVER 30 YEARS,THE MAX WARBURG COURAGE CURRICULUM (MAXCOURAGE) HAS SUPPORTED STUDENTS AND TEACHERS IN BOSTON AND BEYOND WITH OUR FREE ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS AND SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING CURRICULUM. MAXCOURAGE WAS INITIALLY CREATED TO SERVE BOSTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS ALONG WITH BOSTON PAROCHIAL, CHARTER, AND INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS. REMAINING IN BOSTON FOR 30 YEARS AND CONTINUING TODAY, MAXCOURAGE HAS BEEN, IN RECENT YEARS, ABLE TO EXPAND TO OTHER MA GATEWAY CITIES SUCH AS NEW BEDFORD, BARNSTABLE, AND MALDEN, WITH PLANS IN PLACE FOR FURTHER EXPANSION IN OTHER MA GATEWAY CITIES WHERE THE NEED IS GREAT. APPROXIMATELY 4600 CHILDREN AND 100 TEACHERS WORLDWIDE PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM EACH YEAR.
