LEAF'S FINANCING ACTIVITIES ARE DIRECTED TOWARDS COMPANIES THAT HAVE THE FOLLOWING FOCUS:1) HEALTHY FOOD PRODUCTS;2) EMPOWERMENT OF LOW-INCOME PERSONS TO CREATE AND MANAGE THEIR OWN BUSINESS;3) INITIATIVES THAT DEMONSTRATE CONCERN FOR THE EMVIROMENT;4) EMPLOYEMENT TRAINING AND PLACEMENT OF LOW-INCOME WORKERS; AND5) COMMUNITY COOPERATIVES THAT CREATE JOBS.


LEAF'S TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE ACTIVITIES ARE DIRECTED TOWARDS PROVIDING SMALL BUSINESSES WITH DETAILED AND PERSONALIZED BUSINESS PROBLEM SOLVING, COACHING AND CUSTOMIZED TOOLS TO EVALUATE THE CONTINUOUSLY MONITOR BUSINESS PERFORMARCE. LEAF'S ONE-ON-ONE WORK WITH BUSINESS OWNERS AIMS TO EMPOWER THEM BY STRENGTHENING THEIR BUSINESS MANAGEMENT SKILLS AND DECISION-MAKING PROCESS. LEAF OFFERS A LIMITED NUMBER OF WORKSHOPS THAT ARE BUILT AROUND LEARNING GOALS AND THAT AIM TO BUILD THE CONFIDENCE OF THE BUSINESS OWNERS.
