SNOWBOARDERS & SKIERS FOR CHRIST (SFC) IS A GRASSROOTS ORGANIZATION THAT EXISTS TO BRIDGE THE SKI/SNOWBOARD CULTURE TO JESUS, PARTNERING WITH THE LOCAL CHURCH, TO BE THE LIGHT OF JESUS TO THE SKI/SNOWBOARD. SFC ALSO EXISTS TO PREVENT SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND OTHER MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES IN THEIR COMMUNITIES. SFC'S EMPLOYEES ARE ALSO ITS MINISTERS TO PEOPLE AND ITS VOLUNTEERS IN THE SKI/SNOWBOARD CULTURE. ACCORDINGLY, SFC TAKES THE POSITION THAT ALL OF ITS INCOME AND EXPENSES GO TO SERVING ITS MISSION. APART FROM SALARIES FOR ITS EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACTORS, SFC HOSTS ACTIVITIES WITH THE CONTRIBUTIONS IT RECEIVES, SUCH AS THE NATIONAL CONFERENCE AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR THE TRAINING AND ENCOURAGEMENT OF VOLUNTEERS, AS WELL AS THE SECRET SPOT CHALLENGE FOR RAISING AWARENESS FOR MENTAL HEALTH CONCERNS IN THE SKI/SNOWBOARD CULTURE.
