THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE QUALITY CHILD CARE AND MEALS TO ALL CHILDREN AND QUALIFYING DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN UNDER THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION'S USDA CHILD AND ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM (CACFP), A SPECIAL NUTRITION FOOD PROGRAM. RAINBOW LEARNING CENTER OFFERS HIGH QUALITY CARE IN A HOME-LIKE AND PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT.

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED QUALITY CHILD CARE AND MEALS TO APPROXIMATELY 60 PLUS CHILDREN TO ALLOW THEIR PARENTS TO BE GAIN-FULLY EMPLOYED. THE CENTER IS OPEN 5 DAYS PER WEEK, FROM 6:00 A.M. TO 6:00 P.M. THE ORGANIZATION'S OBJECTIVE IS TO OFFER FLEXIBLE AND HIGH QUALITY CHILD CARE TO FAMILIES WHO NEED CARE FOR THEIR CHILDREN AND TO PROVIDE ALL CHILDREN INCLUDING UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN WITH A LOVING, & CARING ENVIRONMENT THAT IS EDUCATIONAL, SAFE, AND FUN, WITH NUTRITIOUS MEALS BEING SERVED TO THEM THROUGH THE USDA FOOD PROGRAM.WEEKEND WORKSHOPS ARE CONDUCTED FOR PARENTS AND THEIR CHILDREN TO EXPLORE TOGETHER AND TO HAVE IN DEPTH CONVERSATIONS WITH THEIR TEACHERS. DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRESS REPORTS ARE COMPLETED ON EACH CHILD EVERY SIX MONTHS. PERIODICALLY, THE CENTER CONDUCTS A WEEKEND PARENTS NIGHT OUT IN ORDER TO GIVE PARENTS A MUCH NEEDED BREAK FOR THEMSELVES. EACH EVENING ONE TEACHER IS DESIGNATED TO BE "ON CALL" IN THE EVENT A PARENT NEEDS TO PICK UP THEIR CHILD AFTER HOURS. THIS FEATURE GIVES PARENTS "PEACE OF MIND" THAT IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY, THEIR CHILD WILL BE CARED FOR IN THE HIGHEST MANNER POSSIBLE.
