THE PURPOSE OF THE GREATER RANDOLPH SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER IS TO PROVIDE SOCIAL, EDUCATIONAL, CHARITABLE AND NUTRITIONAL SERVICES TO ELDERLY RESIDENTS OF THE AREA. - PRINCIPALLY THE ORANGE COUNTY TOWNS OF RANDOLPH, BRAINTREE AND BROOKFIELD.

Part 3 - Line 4a

DURING THE YEAR APPROXIMATELY 17,610 NUTRITIOUS MEALS WERE SERVED AS MEALS ON WHEELS, GRAB & GO AND IN A CONGREGATE SETTING FOR OLDER VERMONTERS WHO ARE 60 YEARS AND OLDER. 826 MEALS WERE DELIVERED TO DISABLED PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 60. THE CENTER REOPENED FOR MEALS ON APRIL 6, 2022.


THE FACILITIES AT 6 HALE STREET REOPENED FOR EXERCISE CLASSES AND GAMES ON JULY 6, 2021 AND ONCE AGAIN BEGAN SERVING INDOOR MEALS ON APRIL 6, 2022. THE CENTER IS USED BY THE PUBLIC AS A SPACE FOR SOCIAL GATHERINGS SUCH AS PUBLIC SUPPERS AND OTHER FUNDRAISING EVENTS, CARD PARTIES, CRAFT CLASSES AND GUEST SPEAKERS ON TOPICS OF INTEREST TO THE GROUP. THE PUBLIC MAY ALSO USE THE FACILITY AFTER HOURS FOR FAMILY DINNERS AND BIRTHDAY PARTIES. OPPORTUNITIES TYPICALLY ARE PROVIDED TO MEET WITH SOCIAL WELFARE AGENCIES AND FOR HELP WITH INCOME TAX FILING, AS WELL AS MONTHLY FOOT CLINICS AND WELLNESS CLINICS.


VOLUNTEERS DONATED A TOTAL OF 3,457 HOURS. VOLUNTEERS ALSO DONATED 12,803.30 MILES DRIVEN FOR SENIOR CENTER BUSINESS.
