HOPE FAITH MINISTRIES INC. ("HFM") WORKS TO ALLEVIATE HOMELESSNESS AND POVERTY IN THE KANSAS CITY AREA BY PROVIDING BASIC NECESSITIES AND ASSISTANCE WHILE ALSO PROVIDING CRITICAL PROGRAMS TO HELP EMPOWER INDIVIDUALS EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS TO FIND SELF SUFFICIENCY AND INDEPENDENCE. HFM IS THE ONLY COLLABORATIVE, DAYTIME HOMELESS ASSISTANCE CAMPUS IN KANSAS CITY, MO PROVIDING DIRECT SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS AND AT-RISK INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, AND YOUTH. HFM PROVIDES FOR IMMEDIATE NEEDS SUCH AS FOOD, SHOWERS, CLOTHING, LAUNDRY SERVICE, CASE MANAGEMENT, AND OTHER ESSENTIAL SERVICES. HFM ALSO PROVIDES OFFICE SPACE AND OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FOR ANCHOR PARTNERS THAT PROVIDE MEDICAL, VISION, DENTAL AND BEHAVIOR HEALTH SERVICES AS WELL AS ADDITIONAL CASE MANAGEMENT RESOURCES. MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY WE PROVIDE SERVICES FOR OVER 4,500 UNDUPLICATED INDIVIDUALS AND SERVE AN AVERAGE BETWEEN 200-300 MEALS A DAY. DURING THE WINTER, THESE NUMBERS JUMP SUBSTANTIALLY TO SERVING 250 ADDITIONAL UNDUPLICATED INDIVIDUALS AND PROVIDING UPWARDS OF 400 MEALS A DAY. IN 2022 WE SERVED 109,716 HOT MEALS, 3,516 PEOPLE RECEIVED CLOTHING AND HYGIENE PRODUCTS, 5,875 SHOWERS PROVIDED, 520 PRESCRIPTIONS FILLED, OVER 2,300 PEOPLE VISITED OUR FREE HEALTH, DENTAL AND VISION CLINICS, 2,221 LOADS OF LAUNDRY WERE DONE, 568 HAIRCUTS PROVIDED, 1,082 PAIRS OF PRESCRIPTION AND READING GLASSES PROVIDED, AND 2,300 HOURS DONATED BY 783 DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS.
