COLLECTIONS -THROUGH THE COLLECTIONS COMMITEE, THE HOPKINTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY COLLECTS, CATALOGS, MAINTAINS, INTERPRETS, AND MAKES AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC SUCH BOOKS, PAPERS, ARTIFACTS AND RELATED MATERIALS AS MAY SERVE TO DOCUMENT OR ILLUMINATE THE TOWNS HISTORY.
EXHIBITS -THE SOCIETY DISPLAYS MANY OF ITS ARTIFACTS THROUGH VARIOUS EXHIBITS DURING THE YEAR. IN ADDITION TO SEVERAL PERMANENT EXHIBITS, THE SOCIETY CURATES A LARGE SUMMER EXHIBIT, AS WELL AS SEVERAL SMALLER EXHIBITS. THE SUMMER EXHIBIT INCLUDES EXHIBITS, PROGRAMS AND LECTURES ON A TOPIC OF LOCAL HISTORICAL INTERST EACH YEAR. OTHER TEMPORARY EXHIBITS INCLUDE DISPLAYS OF NEWLY ACCESSIONED ITEMS.
SPECIAL EVENTS - THE HOPKINTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY ORGANIZES MANY SPECIAL EVENTS EACH YEAR THAT SERVE TO FURTHER THE MISSION OF THE SOCIETY. THESE EVENTS INCLUDE AN ART SHOW FEATURING LOCAL ARTISTS AND THE ANNUAL MEETING.
