PROVIDES SOCIAL AND FRATERNAL SERVICES TO A VARYING NUMBER OF UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS AND ALUMNI. THE FRATERNITY IS DEDICATED TO THE PURPOSE OF DEVELOPING LIFELONG INTELLECTUAL EXCELLENCE, HIGH STANDARDS OF MORAL CONDUCT AND RESPONSIBLE CITIZENSHIP. IN DOING SO IT STRENGTHENS ITS MEMBERS AND THE HOST INSTITUTION, DARTMOUTH COLLEGE. FRATERNITY BROTHERS ARE REQUIRED TO BE INVOLVED IN CHARITABLE WORKS BOTH ON AND OFF CAMPUS.ADDITIONALLY, THE FRATERNITY SERVES AN IMPORTANT AND EDUCATIONAL FUNCTION BY OFFERING A LOWER COST ALTERNATIVE TO COLLEGE HOUSING. THE FRATERNITY'S GOAL IS TO KEEP ITS ROOM AND BOARD CHARGES AT 80% OF THE COLLEGE'S COST FOR THE SAME. MEMBERS ARE ALSO ELIGIBLE FOR FURTHER REDUCTIONS OF DUES BASED UPON FINANCIAL NEED OR ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE.
