WE OFFERED OUR FIRST VIRTUAL GOSPEL FEST IN THE MULTICULTURAL OUTREACH PROGRAM AREA IN FY22. THIS VIRTUAL SHOW FEATURED NC AND OTHER GOSPEL ARTISTS PERFORMING AS WELL AS PERSONAL STORIES FROM DONOR FAMILY MEMBERS AND LIVING DONORS. THIS WAS HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL, REACHING MORE THAN 100 NORTH CAROLINIANS DURING THIS ONE-DAY EVENT. DONATE LIFE ALSO PARTICIPATED IN COMMUNITY EVENTS INCLUDING 8 HEALTH FAIRS AND 6 HBCU CAMPUS PROGRAMS DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR.
OUR DMV OUTREACH PROGRAM PROVIDED FOUR IN-PERSON VISITS TO EACH OF THE 115 DMV OFFICES IN FY22TOPROVIDE EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION TO ALL DMV EXAMINERS AND OFFICES IN NC DURING THE YEAR TO EDUCATE DRIVERS ABOUT ORGAN, EYE ANDTISSUE DONATION. IN ADDITION, WE GAVE AWARDS TO 14 DMV OFFICES WITH THE HIGHEST DONOR DESIGNATION RATES IN THE STATE. WE ALSO PARTICIPATED IN SUMMER SATURDAY PROGRAMS AT SELECT DMV OFFICES THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER TO ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT ORGAN, EYE AND TISSUE DONATION FROM CUSTOMERS WAITING TO GET THEIR LICENSES.
OUR PUBLIC OUTREACH INVOLVED TABLING EVENTS ACROSS NORTH CAROLINA, PRINTED MATERIALS, SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGNS AND OUTREACH TO TEENS AND DRIVER EDUCATION TEACHERS. DONATE LIFE SUPPORTED 14 IN-PERSON EVENTS DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR WITH OUTREACH MATERIALS, PAPER REGISTRATION FORMS AND VOLUNTEERS TO ANSWER QUESTIONS.
