THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO DEVELOP AND ENCOURAGE SPORTSMANSHIP AMONG ALL PLAYERS, ENCOURAGE AND IMPROVE STANDARDS OF HOCKEY IN THE STATE OF MAINE, UNITE ALL MAINE AMATEUR YOUTH HOCKEY TEAMS INTO ONE ASSOCIATION, CONDUCT ANNUAL TOURNAMENTS AND TO ABIDE BY AND PROMOTE FURTHER GOALS, OBJECTIONS AND VALUES OF USA HOCKEY.

PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR PLAYERS AGED 12-17 TO SHOWCASE SKILLS AND PARTICIPATE IN NEW ENGLAND FESTIVAL TOURNAMENTS AND CAMPS, FROM WHICH THEY MAY BE SELECTED TO ATTEND NATIONAL USA HOCKEY TRAINING CAMP. PROVIDE GRANTS TO LOCAL ASSOCIATIONS THROUGHOUT MAINE FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUPPORTING THEIR EFFORTS TO PROVIDE EXCELLENT PROGRAMMING IN THE RECRUITMENT, RETENTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF YOUTH HOCKEY PLAYERS. PROVIDE "FREE" WEBSITE SERVICES TO ALL MAINE HOCKEY ASSOCIATIONS FOR THE BETTERMENT OF COMMUNICATION WITHIN THE LOCAL PROGRAMS.
