OUR PROGRAM ACTIVITY INCLUDES PRESERVING AND CARING FOR NATURAL AND AGRICULTURAL LANDS IN PERPETUITY, TO ENHANCE HABITAT FOR PLANTS AND WILDLIFE, TO ADVANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR ALL IN OUR COMMUNITY, AND TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON THE HISTORY AND STEWARDSHIP OF PROTECTED LANDS.


OUR PROGRAM ACTIVITY INCLUDES PRESERVING AND CARING FOR NATURAL AND AGRICULTURAL LANDS IN PERPETUITY, TO ENHANCE HABITAT FOR PLANTS AND WILDLIFE, TO ADVANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR ALL IN OUR COMMUNITY, AND TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON THE HISTORY AND STEWARDSHIP OF PROTECTED LANDS.


FLT IMPROVED WILDLIFE HABITAT BY REMOVING INVASIVE PLANTS ON TWO PRESERVES. STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS ALSO BUILT TRAIL BRIDGES AND MADE REPAIRS ON SECTIONS OF FALMOUTHS 55+ MILES OF TRAILS.


FLT BEGAN A CAPITAL CAMPAIGN TO RESTORE THE 100+ YEAR-OLD BARN AT HURRICANE VALLEY FARM. THE FARM IS USED BY NEW AMERICANS TO PRODUCE THOUSANDS OF POUNDS OF VEGETABLES FOR COMMUNITIES IN THE GREATER PORTLAND AREA.


FLT OFFERED MONTHLY NATURE HIKES FOR THE PUBLIC LED BY A MAINE MASTER NATURALIST, LED EDUCATIONAL FIELD TRIPS FOR ALL K CLASSES AT THE FALMOUTH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, AND BROUGHT ALL 1ST GRADE CLASSES AT THE FALMOUTH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ON NATURE WALKS.
