THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF AMIGOS OF HONDURAS IS TO HELP HONDURANS PERMANENTLY IMPROVE THEIR LIVES BY GIVING THEM A WAY TO HAVE CLEAN, POTABLE, PLENTIFUL WATER. IN THE MOUNTAINS OF HONDURAS PEOPLE SPEND MUCH OF THEIR DAY GATHERING WATER. WE BUILD WATER LINES TO HELP THEM ALLEVIATE THIS ISSUE. A MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENT HAS BEEN CONSTRUCTION OF A 4 INCH 8 KILOMETER PIPELINE THAT BENEFITTED 8 DIFFERENT VILLAGES OR ABOUT 5000 PEOPLE. MOST OF WHAT WE SPEND GOES TO WATER PROJECTS WITH A SMALL PERCENTAGE USED FOR EDUCATION.
