MISSION:

YOUTH LIVESTOCK SHOW & FAIR - ANNUAL EVENT TEACHES RESPONSIBILITY AND PRIDE OF OWNERSHIP TO AREA YOUTH WHO PARTICIPATE IN THE LIVESTOCK SHOW. THE PARTICIPANTS ARE REWARDED BY SELLING THEIR ANIMALS/PROJECTS TO LOCAL BUSINESSES AND INDIVIDUALS AT AN AUCTION.

MISSION:

OUR MISSION IS TO DEVELOP, SUPPORT, AND PROMOTE POLICIES, PRACTICES, AND PROGRAMS THAT CREATE POSITIVE CHANGE AND REDUCE THE HARMFUL CONSEQUENCES OF SUBSTANCE USE AND MISUSE IN TEXAS. WE ENVISION A STATE IN WHICH PEOPLE OF ALL AGES HAVE EQUITABLE OPPORTUNITIES TO LIVE HEALTHY AND MEANINGFUL LIVES FREE FROM HARMFUL CONSEQUENCES OF SUBSTANCE MISUSE.

TO PROMOTE LASTING AND ENDURING FRIENDSHIPS AMONG ITS MEMBERS; TO FOSTER HIGHER STANDARDS OF INTELLECTUAL ACHIEVEMENT AND ETHICAL BEHAVIOR AMONG ITS MEMBERS; TO PROMOTE THE EDUCATION OF ITS CHAPTER MEMBERS AND TO PROMOTE THE EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIAL MILIEU OF THE COLLEGE WHERE ITS CHAPTER OF CHI OMEGA FRATERNITY IS ESTABLISHED; AND TO PROMOTE THE DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATION AND ADVANCEMENT IN LIFE OF ITS COLLEGIATE MEMBERS.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS AND SERVICE OFFERINGS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: PERSONAL CONSULTATION AND NEEDS ASSESSMENT, ON-LINE JOB SEARCH, JOB SKILLS TRAINING, RESUME PREPARATION, MOCK INTERVIEWING, INTENSE JOB REDINESS TRAINING, ON-GOING JOB RETENTION,COUNSELING, CAREER DEVELOPMENT, AND LEADERSHIP TRAINING.
