THE BEAUMONT FOUNDATION OF AMERICA AWARDS GRANTS TO BRING ABOUT CIVIC BETTERMENT AND SOCIAL IMPROVEMENTS BY PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO THE POOR, UNDERSERVED, AND UNDERPRIVILEGED. WE HAVE FIVE MAJOR PROGRAM AREAS - CHILDREN & YOUTH, EDUCATION, HEALTHCARE, SOCIAL SERVICES AND CHILDREN OF FALLEN HEROES.

MISSION:

THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS THE DEVELOPMENT AND PROMOTION OF LAMAR UNIVERSITY, ITS STUDENTS, FACULTY AND STAFF. THE LAMAR UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION SUPPORTS AND ENHANCES LAMAR UNIVERSITY BY ENCOURAGING THE COMMITMENT OF PERSONAL AND FINANCIAL RESOURCES TO FURTHER THE EDUCATION OF LAMAR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS. THE FOUNDATION PROMOTES THE STEWARDSHIP OF DONORS TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE UNIVERSITY TO STUDENT, FACULTY, ALUMNI AND FRIENDS. THE LAMAR UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION MANAGES THE INVESTMENTS, SERVES AS TRUSTEE OF THE ENDOWMENT FUNDS AND OTHER PRIVATE ASSETS CONTRIBUTED FOR THE BENEFIT OF LAMAR UNIVERSITY.

ORGANIZATION PROVIDES: EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING SERVICES TO INCLUDE VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION, COUNSELING, GUIDANCE, ASSESSMENT, SKILLS TRAINING, JOB READINESS, JOB PLACEMENT, ON-SITE TRAINING, AND RETENTION SERVICES, TO: PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES INCLUDING PHYSICAL, DEVELOPMENTAL, AND MENTAL HEALTH DISABILITIES, AS WELL AS PERSONS WITH OTHER BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT SUCH AS LACK OF EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE, PREVIOUS INVOLVEMENT WITH THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM, AND RELIANCE ON THE SOCIAL WELFARE SYSTEM TO MEET FAMILY NEEDS.

The goal of this organization is to operate visiting nurse associations and other similar organizations that provide skilled nursing care and related health services on a home care basis for recently discharged hospital patients, and elderly or disabled individuals who may otherwise be institutionalized.

OPEN ENROLLMENT CHARTER SCHOOL AUTHORIZED BY THE TEXAS EDUCATION AGENCY AS A LOCAL EDUCATION AGENCY SERVING CHILDREN IN GRADES PRE-K THROUGH 8 WITH AN EMPHASIS ON FINE ARTS AND ATHLETICS.

THROUGH UNIQUE COLLECTIONS, EXHIBITIONS, PUBLIC PROGRAMS AND OUTREACH IN THE VISUAL ARTS, THE MISSION OF THE ART MUSEUM OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS IS TO PROVIDE EDUCATION, INSPIRATION AND CREATIVE VISIONS THROUGHOUT SOUTHEAST TEXAS.
