SEVERAL TIMES A YEAR SAC TAKES 10-DAY MISSION TRIPS FRIDAY - SUNDAY TO ST. PETERSBURG RUSSIA AND OTHER REPUBLICS OF THE FORMER SOVIET UNION TYPICALLY IN THE SPRING SUMMER AND FALL. WE SPEND FIVE TO SIX DAYS OF MINISTRY IN AN AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM IN SHELTERS ORPHANAGES DAY CENTERS CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL AND TRANSITION HOMES FOR GRADUATE ORPHANS. IN SMALL GROUPS OUR VOLUNTEERS LEAD ARTS & CRAFTS SPORTS AND GAMES LEAD BIBLE LESSONS AND TEACH LIFE SKILLS TO OLDER ORPHANS.

THIS ORGANIZATION WILL ASSIST IN RAISING FUNDS TO BE USED FOR THE PURPOSES OF THE PLANO EAST SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL ORCHESTRA, AND TO FURNISH EQUIPMENT NECESSARY FOR THE HIGHEST TYPE OF MUSIC INSTRUCTION. TO PROMOTE EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES AND SUCH OTHER ENTERPRISES TO CREATE AND ENHANCE A MORE FRIENDLY RELATIONSHIP AND UNITY OF PURPOSE BETWEEN MEMBERS OF THE ORCHESTRA, THEIR PARENTS, GUARDIANS, AND THE CITY AND SCHOOL AUTHORITIES. TO PROMOTE A BROADER AND BETTER INTEREST IN THE AREA OF MUSICAL KNOWLEDGE AT PLANO EAST SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL. ALL PROPERTY PURCHASED FOR THE ORCHESTRA SHALL BECOME PROPERTY OF THE ORCHESTRA AND THEREFORE THE PROPERTY OF THE PLANO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT.
