THE STRIDER EDUCATION FOUNDATION'S MISSION THROUGH THE ALL KIDS BIKE PROGRAM IS TO TEACH EVERY CHILD IN AMERICA HOW TO RIDE A BIKE IN KINDERGARTEN PE CLASS. OUR INITIATIVE PROVIDES CHILDREN THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN HOW TO RIDE A BIKE, A SKILL THAT FOSTERS INDEPENDENCE, CONFIDENCE, AND FITNESS. OFTEN, WE ASSUME THAT LEARNING TO RIDE A BIKE IS A CHILDHOOD RITE OF PASSAGE. THE REALITY IS THIS IS NOT NECESSARILY A SKILL BEING TAUGHT AT HOME, WHETHER IT BE FAMILY FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES, LACK OF TIME, LACK OF SPACE, OR ANY OTHER REASON. HAVING INSTRUCTION AND EQUIPMENT AT THE SCHOOLS HAS PROVEN TO BE A SUCCESSFUL SOLUTION.

THE BROOKINGS AREA TRANSIT AUTHORITY WAS ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION ACTIVITIES AND OPERATIONS FOR ALL CITIZENS OF THE BROOKINGS AREA OF SOUTH DAKOTA.

TO PROMOTE AND PROTECT QUALITY EDUCATION AND ALL EDUCATION EMPLOYEES.

MISSION:

IT IS DESIRED, THERFORE TO ESTABLISH A SIZABLE FUND IN THE FOUNDATION TO BE USED FOR THE SUPPORT OF FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH OF SIOUX FALLS PROGRAMS CONSIDERED TO BE BEYOND THOSE ESSENTIAL FOR THE OPERATION OF THE CHURCH.

These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.
