THE NEW YORK GENEALOGICAL AND BIOGRAPHICAL SOCIETY (NYG&B) PRESERVES, DOCUMENTS, AND SHARES THE STORIES OF FAMILIES ACROSS THE STATE OF NEW YORK. WE ENGAGE WITH GENEALOGISTS, BIOGRAPHERS, HISTORIANS, AND ORGANIZATIONS TO ESTABLISH THE BROADER CONTEXTS OF NEW YORK'S PAST. THE NYG&B ACTIVELY FOSTERS CONNECTIONS BETWEEN NEW YORK'S PAST AND THE PRESENT.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to conduct research in the area of social science that involves the systematic study of the theory, history and application of the rules of conduct by which societal relations are formally structured and adjudicated.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

THE CORPORATION WAS FORMED AS A 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION TO BORROW FUNDS AND TO MAKE A LOAN INTO A FINANCING STRUCTURE FOR A CHARTER SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT IN THE BRONX, NEW YORK.

TRANSMISSION TO CHARITY FOR MEDICAL, VOCATIONAL,AND SOCIAL SERVICE INSTITUTIONS

MISSION:

CARTER BURDEN NETWORK PROMOTES THE WELL-BEING OF OLDER ADULTS 60 AND OLDER THROUGH A CONTINUUM OF SERVICES, ADVOCACY, ARTS AND CULTURE, HEALTH AND WELLNESS, AND VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS, ALL ORIENTED TO INDIVIDUAL, FAMILY AND COMMUNITY NEEDS.

MISSION:

NYTW IS DEDICATED TO EXPLORING AND PRESENTING THEATRICAL EXPERIENCES THAT REFLECT, RESPOND TO, AND INVIGORATE THE WORLD IN WHICH WE LIVE AND WORK.

INCREASE THE SCALE AND EFFECTIVENESS OF IMPACT INVESTING AROUND THE WORLD. (SEE SCHEDULE O) IMPACT INVESTMENTS ARE INVESTMENTS MADE INTO COMPANIES, ORGANIZATIONS, AND FUNDS WITH THE INTENTION TO GENERATE SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ALONGSIDE A FINANCIAL RETURN.

THE TONY BLAIR AFRICA GOVERNANCE INITIATIVE US, DBA THE TONY BLAIR FOUNDATION PRIMARILY RAISES FUNDS TO SUPPORT PROGRAMS THAT PIONEER NEW WAYS OF WORKING WITH AFRICAN COUNTRIES, EQUIPPING VISIONARY AFRICAN LEADERS WITH THE CAPACITY TO DELIVER ON THEIR REFORM AGENDAS, TACKLE POVERTY AND ATTRACT SUSTAINABLE INVESTMENT. TBFF'S MISSION WAS TO PROVIDE THE PRACTICAL SUPPORT TO PREVENT AND COUNTER RELIGIOUS CONFLICT, PREJUDICE AND EXTREMISM IN ORDER TO HAVE AN OPEN MINDED AND STABLE WORLD. TBF HAS BEEN FORMED TO CONTINUE TO SUPPORT BOTH OF THESE INITIATIVES AS WELL AS SUPPORT THE INITIATIVE IN THE MIDDLE EAST TO BOOST CONFIDENCE BETWEEN ISRAEL AND PALESTINIANS FOR A MORE DIPLOMATIC PROCESS IN THE REGION.

LEGAL SERVICES - THE LEGAL ACTION CENTER ("LAC") IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT LAW AND POLICY ORGANIZATION WITH OFFICES IN NEW YORK CITY AND WASHINGTON, D.C.. LAC IS THE ONLY ORGANIZATION IN THE COUNTRY WHOSE SOLE MISSION IS TO FIGHT DISCRIMINATION AGAINST AND PROTECT THE PRIVACY OF PEOPLE LIVING WITH CRIMINAL RECORDS, DRUG OR ALCOHOL HISTORIES, AND/OR HIV/AIDS. WE HAVE A MULTI-FACETED APPROACH THAT INVOLVES DIRECT CLIENT LEGAL SERVICES AND IMPACT LITIGATION, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND TRAINING TO AGENCIES THAT SERVE OUR CLIENTELE, AND POLICY ADVOCACY TO CREATE SYSTEMIC CHANGES THAT WILL BENEFIT OUR CLIENTS. WE PROVIDE FREE LEGAL ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS THROUGHOUT NEW YORK STATE; MANY OF OUR CLIENTS HAVE ISSUES CROSSING ALL THREE OF OUR SUBJECT AREAS.
