A TRUTH THAT CUTS ACROSS SOCIETAL AND CULTURAL DIFFERENCES IS THAT WOMEN ARE TYPICALLY THE PRIMARY CUSTODIAN OF A FAMILYS NUTRITIONAL, EDUCATIONAL AND ECONOMIC LONGEVITY. YET IN MANY PARTS OF THE DEVELOPING WORLD, PARTICULARLY IN AFRICA, THESE WOMEN DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE INDEPENDENCE, INCOME, AND INFORMATION THEY NEED TO BUILD AND SUSTAIN A HIGHER QUALITY OF LIFE.
