HONORING THOSE WHO SERVED THE UNITED STATES IN THE ARMED FORCES, THE MISSION OF THE GROSSE POINTE WAR MEMORIAL ASSOCIATION (THE "WAR MEMORIAL") IS TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL, CULTURAL, CIVIC, AND PATRIOTIC ACTIVITIES THAT ENRICH THE QUALITY OF LIFE THROUGH PROGRAMS, SERVICES, AND FACILITIES.

THE GROSSE POINTE ACADEMY IS AN INDEPENDENT, COEDUCATIONAL DAY SCHOOL SERVING CHILDREN IN EARLY SCHOOL THROUGH GRADE EIGHT. THE ACADEMY IS A CHRISTIAN BASED SCHOOL THAT EMBRACES STUDENTS FROM ALL RELIGIONS.

The goal of this organization are the nongovernmental, nonprofit organizations with funds (usually from a single source, such as an individual, family or corporation) and programs managed by its own trustees or directors, established to maintain or aid social, educational, religious or other charitable activities serving the common welfare, primarily through grantmaking.

The goal of this organization is to serve the interests of the community as a whole and provide services which meet the needs of people who own or rent apartments, condominiums, townhomes, mobile home parks or other housing complexes who are their members.

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES A SAFE HARBOR FOR THE SUMMER USE OF SMALL BOATS. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION WORKS WITH SIMILAR ORGANIZATIONS TO SCHEDULE REGATTA SND RACING EVENTS THAT ARE USED TO TRAIN INDIVIDUALS ON WATER SAFETY.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people of all ages to learn, become competitive in and enjoy the organized recreational activity, sport or game of their choice. These programs may be offered by local clubs devoted to a particular activity or sport; may provide individual or team coaching assistance or instruction, access to equipment and facilities, and uniforms, if necessary; and may sponsor or make arrangements for athletes to participate in amateur competitions, usually at the local or regional level, and provide officials for games. These events are generally for the enjoyment of the athletes and are not at a high enough competitive level to be considered spectator sports.

THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF DETROIT, INC. IS AN ORGANIZATION OF WOMEN WHOSE MISSION IS TO ADVANCE WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP FOR MEANINGFUL COMMUNITY IMPACT THROUGH VOLUNTEER ACTION, COLLABORATION AND TRAINING. ITS PURPOSE IN EXCLUSIVELY EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE.
