THE ORGANIZATION'S PURPOSE IS THE REVITALIZATION OF ECONOMICALLY DISTRESSED COMMUNITIES, IN PARTICULAR, THE WESTERN AREA OF DETROIT, MI KNOWN AS CORKTOWN. THE ORGANIZATION WILL PROVIDE LENDING TO ELIGIBLE INDIVIDUALS AND SMALL BUSINESSES AT REDUCED RATES AND AT FLEXIBLE TERMS. IN ADDITION, WE WILL PROVIDE EDUCATION TO THE BORROWER, SUCH AS HOME OWNERSHIP CLASSES, BUSINESS PLAN PREPARATION COURSES AND DEBT ELIMINATION CLASSES IN CONJUNCTION WITH VARIOUS LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS.

BY IMMERSING STUDENTS IN THE JOY AND POWER OF POETRY AND LITERARY SELF- EXPRESSION, INSIDEOUT INSPIRES THEM TO THINK BROADLY, CREATE BRAVELY AND SHARE THEIR VOICES WITH THE WIDER WORLD. GUIDED BY PROFESSIONAL WRITERS AND CELEBRATED BY PUBLICATIONS AND PERFORMANCES, YOUTH LEARN THAT THEIR STORIES AND IDEAS MATTER AND THAT THEIR PENS CAN LAUNCH THEM OFF THE PAGE INTO EXTRAORDINARY LIVES.

OR OTHER IRC SEC. 501(C)(19) ORGANIZATIONS TO SUPPORT THE SOCIAL WELFARE OF VIETNAM WAR VETERANS AND THE DEPENDENTS, WIDOWS AND ORPHANS OF DECEASED VIETNAM WAR VETERANS.

YWCA PROVIDES 24/7/365 DAYS A YEAR SERVICES TO SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE (67 BEDS). CURRENTLY, WE ARE THE ONLY SHELTER IN THE CITY OF DETROIT AND ONE OF THE OLDEST IN MICHIGAN.
