MISSION:

THE MISSION OF ST MARY'S COLLEGE OF MARYLAND BOAT FOUNDATION IS TO SUPPORT THE BOATING AND SAILING PROGRAM OF ST. MARY'S COLLEGE OF MARYLAND, AND TO PROVIDE THE RESOURCES TO FURTHER EDUCATION AND TRAINING ON THE WATER.

MISSION:

THE ORGANIZATIONS PURPOSE IS TO COLLECT, PRESERVE, AND SHARE LOCAL CHESAPEAKE HISTORY CELEBRATING THE CULTURE AROUND THE BAY - PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE - THROUGH ORAL HISTORIES, COLLECTIONS, EXHIBITIONS, AND COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES, USING ITS HISTORICAL PROPERTY AS AN EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL CENTER.

OPERATION OF A CHRISTIAN SCHOOL WITH APPROXIMATELY 225 STUDENTS K4-12

TO CONDUCT ACTIVITIES TO ACHIEVE EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE OBJECTIVES WITHIN THE STATE OF MARYLAND FOCUSING PRIMARILY ON ACTIVITIES THAT ENSURE EQUITY IN MARYLAND HIGHER EDUCATION.

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

THE PURPOSE OF THE COUNCIL IS TO CARRY OUT, IN THE GREATER BALTIMORE METROPOLITAN AREA, THE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE NATIONAL NAVY LEAGUE OF THE UNITED STATES(NLUS), AS THOSE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES ARE DETERMINED, FROM TIME TO TIME, BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE NLUS. TO THE EXTENT NOT INCONSISTENT WITH THOSE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES, THE PURPOSE OF THE COUNCIL IS TO ACQUIRE AND DISSEMINATE TO THE CITIZENS OF THE GREATER BALTIMORE METROPOLITAN AREA INFORMATION CONCERNING THE CONDITIONS AND MORALE OF THE SEA-GOING SERVICES OF THE UNITED STATES AND TO PROMOTE THE IMPROVEMENT OF THOSE CONDITIONS AND MORALE. "SEA-GOING SERVICES," MEANS THE UNITED STATES NAVY, THE UNITED STATES MARINES, THE UNITED STATES COAST GUARD, AND THE MERCHANT MARINE.

TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR STRUGGLING CHARLES COUNTY FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 18 BY PROVIDING THEM WITH THE BASIC NECESSITIES OF LIFE INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, CLOTHING, FOOD, HOUSING ASSISTANCE, RECREATIONAL AND HOLIDAY ASSISTANCE.
