AIR PROVIDES RURAL AND UNDER-RESOURCED COMMUNITIES WITH PROGRAMMING THAT INSPIRES NEW CONNECTIONS AND IGNITES THE CREATIVE ECONOMY. CREATIVE PEOPLE EXPAND BUSINESS SKILLS, BUSINESSPEOPLE GET MORE CREATIVE; THEY LEARN TO COLLABORATE, ADAPT, AND THRIVE TOGETHER.

MISSION:

THE FREDERICK BOOK ARTS CENTER IS A 501(C)(3) NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION ART CENTER. WE OPENED OUR DOORS FOR CLASSES ON MARCH 20TH, 2019, TO HELP THE THRIVING ARTIST AND HOBBYIST COMMUNITY IN GREATER FREDERICK. WE SERVE OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH A VARIETY OF WAYS; WE OFFER HIGH-QUALITY CLASSES TAUGHT BY LOCAL AND VISITING ARTISTS AT PRICES MAINLY TO COVER MATERIAL-COST, WE OFFER A RETAIL SPACE FOR EXPERIENCED AND FLEDGLING ARTISTS TO SELL THEIR ART, WE RENT OUT WORKSPACE AND EQUIPMENT FOR ART THAT WOULD OTHERWISE BE INACCESSIBLE, WE OFFER LOW-COST OR NO-COST CLASSES TO REACH LOW INCOME MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY, AND SERVE TO EDUCATE THE GREATER FREDERICK COMMUNITY ABOUT BOOK ARTS.

WORKING WITH HOMELESS SHELTERS, PROVIDE FOOD AND DONATIONS, WORK WITH LOCAL STATE AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES TO HELP DRIVE AWARENESS AND EDUCATION SURROUNDING INFECTIOUS DISEASES AND SEPSIS. IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING MASKS AND OTHER ESSENTIAL MATERIALS TO PEOPLE IN NEED.

The goal of this organization is to provide supportive services for crime victims which may include crisis counseling, medical services, escort services, transportation, child care, financial assistance, protective services, information about the mechanics of court proceedings, assistance with forms to file for reimbursement of crime-related expenses or losses, and/or advice and guidance concerning court appearances.

WORKS WITH HOMEWOOD AT FREDERICK TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT, OPPORTUNITIES AND ACTIVITIES FOR THE INDEPENDENT LIVING RESIDENTS AT HOMEWOOD AT FREDERICK THAT PROMOTES AND FURTHERS THEIR GENERAL WELFARE.

Also included are organizations that provide relief services in response to a major disaster or large-scale emergency that occurs abroad.

The goal of this organization are the organizations like chambers of commerce, business leagues and commercial trade associations whose members are businessmen and women and merchants who have affiliated for the purpose of promoting the general commercial interests of the community or the interests of their own trade. [Many of these are found in section 501(c)(6) business leagues; and 501(c)(6) chambers of commerce.]

The goal of this organization is to work to prevent, predict or control the effects of disasters (e.g. floods, earthquakes, fires, tornadoes), to educate or otherwise prepare individuals to cope with the effects of such disasters or to provide broad-based relief services to victims of such disasters.
