COMMUNITY ONE IS A NON-PROFIT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (CDC) ADDRESSING HOUSING RESTORATION AND NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION NEEDS IN THE EVANSVILLE, INDIANA REGION. OUR MISSION IS TO TRANSFORM THE CITY OF EVANSVILLE AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE FLOURISHING OF ITS PEOPLE BY EMPOWERING NEIGHBORS TO LOVE THEIR NEIGHBORS.

The goal of this organization are the nongovernmental, nonprofit organizations with funds (usually from a single source, such as an individual, family or corporation) and programs managed by its own trustees or directors, established to maintain or aid social, educational, religious or other charitable activities serving the common welfare, primarily through grantmaking.

The goal of this organization is to are responsible for the control and extinction of fires; and the inspection of buildings, hillside property and industrial plants to ensure compliance with fire codes.

MISSION:

TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO GRADUATING SENIORS FROM ZIONSVILLE COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL (LOCATED IN BOONE COUNTY, INDIANA) WHO WILL BE ATTENDING A UNIVERSITY, JUNIOR COLLEGE, BUSINESS SCHOOL OR TRADE SCHOOL. THE PURPOSE OF THE TRUST IS TO CREATE FOR STUDENTS OF ZIONSVILLE COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL AN OPPORTUNITY TO FUND THEIR HIGHER EDUCATION THROUGH THE USE OF THE INCOME AND CORPUS OF THIS TRUST. ALL SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS ARE PAID BY THE INSTITUTIONAL TRUSTEE DIRECTLY TO SUCH ACCREDITED INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER LEARNING FOR THE BENEFIT OF AN INDIVIDUAL RECIPIENT'S TUITION, ROOM AND BOARD. NO PAYMENTS ARE MADE TO THE INDIVIDUAL RECIPIENTS PERSONALLY. ANY STUDENT AT ZIONSVILLE COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP SO LONG AS A CURRENT OR FORMER RESIDENT OF EAGLE TOWNSHIP OR UNION TOWNSHIP (WITHIN BOONE COUNTY, INDIANA). THE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE REVIEWED BY A TRUST COMMITTEE WHICH SELECTS THE INDIVIDUAL RECIPIENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM. THE TRUST CO

TO PROVIDE FIRE PROTECTION AND AID IN OTHER EMERGENCIES FOR PERSONS AND PROPERTY.

TO PROVIDE COUNSELING AND ASSISTANCE WITH HOUSING NEEDS FOR CLIENTS LOCATED IN THE EVANSVILLE, IN AREA UNDER GUIDELINES ESTABLISHED BY THE HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT PROVISIONS.

TO PREVENT CHILD ABUSE & NEGLECT BY PROVIDING SHORT TERM EMERGENCY CARE FOR CHILDREN WHOSE FAMILIES ARE IN CRISIS SITUATIONS

MISSION:

These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family.
