THE PURPOSE IS TO FUNCTION AS A SOCIAL WELFARE ORGANIZATION THAT (A) REVIEWS THE SCIENCE AND THE RESEARCH BEHIND IMPORTANT INNOVATIONS; (B) DEVELOPS REPORTS AND OTHER COMMUNIATIONS TO EDUCATE OPINION LEADERS AND THE PUBLIC ABOUT POLICIES AIMED AT FOSTERING EFFECTIVE AND SAFE PRODUCTS, TECHNIQUES, AND ADVANCEMENTS; AND (C) WORKS TOWARD A CONSENSUS AMONG THE MANY STAKEHOLDERS WHO HAVE AN INTEREST IN BALANCE BETWEEN SCIENTIFIC INNOVATION, BIODIVERSITY, PROBLEM-SOLVING, ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION, AND HUMAN PROGRESS.

THE COUNCIL PROVIDES A FORUM FOR EXPANDING AND DEEPENING INTERCHANGE BETWEEN THE AMERICAN AND ITALIAN BUSINESS COMMUNITIES ON ISSUES OF MUTUAL INTEREST.

THE #KEEPMYRX CAMPAIGN PROMOTES LEGISLATION AND POLICIES THAT PROTECT PATIENT ACCESS TO THE MEDICINES THEIR PHYSICIANS PRESCRIBE. THE #KEEPMYRX POLICY PRIORITIES INCLUDE INSURANCE REFORM THAT LIMITS UTILIZATION MANAGEMENT PRACTICES SUCH AS NON-MEDICAL SWITCHING.
