Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

THE REDISTRIBUTION CENTER GATHERS AND DISTRIBUTES FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING SUPPLIES, MEDICAL SUPPLIES, TOYS, FURNITURE, HOUSEHOLD GOODS AND OTHER ITEMS TO ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY, VETERANS, MILTARY FAMILIES AND OTHERS IN NEED. THEY ALSO PROVIDE DISASTER ASSISTANCE RELIEF.

MINORITY AND WOMEN OWNED BUSINESSES TRADITIONALLY GET LESS THAN 12 OF THE WORK ON PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION AND TRANSPORTATION PROJECTS. WOMEN ARE ONLY 8 OF THE CONSTRUCTION WORKFORCE. WITH HIGH PAYING AND SUSTAINABLE JOBS IN CONSTRUCTION, THIS CAREER CAN HAVE A HUGE IMPACT ON A WOMAN'S ECONOMIC EQUITY OVER HER LIFETIME.
