SHOWERS OF BLESSING'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE FREE HOT SHOWERS AND TO FOSTER HYGENIC CARE FOR THE HOMELESS IN SANTA BARBARA COUNTY.

MISSION:

THE FOUNDATION ADMINISTERED A HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN (HEALTHY KIDS SANTA BARBARA) FOR CHILDREN 0-19 IN SANTA BARBARA COUNTY TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH ACCESS OF THIS NEEDY POPULATION. THE CHILDREN ENROLLED IN THIS PLAN PREVIOUSLY DID NOT HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE.

MISSION:

COASTAL HOUSING PARTNERSHIP WAS CREATED IN 1987 BY A GROUP OF LOCAL SOUTH COAST EMPLOYERS WHO FOUND IT INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT TO ATTRACT AND RETAIN TALENT DUE TO THE HIGH COST OF HOUSING IN OUR COMMUNITY. THEY PARTNERED WITH A NETWORK OF LOCAL REAL ESTATE PROFESSIONALS WHO OFFER SAVINGS ON THEIR SERVICES TO EMPLOYEES OF COASTAL HOUSING MEMBER COMPANIES. OVER THE PAST 35 YEARS, WEVE EXPANDED OUR HOUSING BENEFITS TO INCLUDE SAVINGS ON HOME PURCHASES, MORTGAGE REFINANCES AND SELECTED APARTMENT RENTALS. OUR NEWLY-LAUNCHED RENTAL SEARCH SITE LISTS RENTAL OPPORTUNITIES IN SANTA BARBARA & VENTURA COUNTIES. WE ALSO PROVIDE EMPLOYEES WITH HOME BUYING EDUCATION SEMINARS, HOME BUYING FAIR NETWORKING EVENTS, AND ONLINE RESOURCES.

SUPPORT THE SANTA BARBARA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

MISSION:

PROVIDE SERVICES, SUPPORT AND EDUCATION TO LOW-RISK CHILDBEARING WOMEN AND THEIR FAMILIES. THE BIRTH CENTER OFFERS COMPLETE MIDWIFERY CARE FOR PREGNANCY AND BIRTH.

THE ACTION FUND'S MISSION IS TO EXPAND ACCESS TO QUALITY REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH CARE FOR ALL, INCLUDING SAFE AND LEGAL ABORTION, THROUGH COMMUNITY EDUCATION, PUBLIC POLICY INITIATIVES, AND SUPPORT FOR CANDIDATES COMMITTED TO THIS WORK.

Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

THE ORGANIZATIONS PROVIDES AFFORDABLE PERFORMANCE SPACE FOR ART, MUSIC AND THEATER. IT PROVIDES PERFORMANCES TO THE PUBLIC AT AFFORDABLE PRICES THAT WOULD NOT OTHERWISE BE AVAILABLE. THE THEATER OPERATES ALL YEAR ROUND.

TO SUPPORT THE OPERATION OF THE ACCELERATED ACADEMIC PROGRAM FORLEADERSHIP AND ENRICHMENT ACADEMY THAT PROVIDES AN ALTERNATIVE COURSEOF STUDY, EDUCATIONAL ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES, AND COLLEGE AND CAREERSERVICES FOR STUDENTS OF SAN MARCOS HIGH SCHOOL.

The goal of this organization is to offer therapeutic sessions which focus on the system of relationships and communication patterns among family members and which attempt to modify those relationships and patterns to achieve greater harmony. The therapist focuses on the family as a unit rather than concentrating on one of the members who is singled out as the one in need of treatment.
