MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

CALTROUT'S MISSION IS ENSURING HEALTHY WATER AND RESILIENT WILD FISH FOR A BETTER CALIFORNIA. WE SHARE A COMMON VISION OF A CALIFORNIA WHERE HEALTHY WATERS FLOW FROM HEADWATERS TO SEA. WHERE THE DIVERSITY AND RESILIENCE OF OUR WATERS AND FISH MATCH THAT OF THE PEOPLE THROUGHOUT OUR STATE.

TO ACCOMPLISH THIS VISION, HOLY FAMILY DAY HOME ("HFDH") PROVIDES AFFORDABLE, HIGH QUALITY, EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES IN A STABLE AND NURTURING ENVIRONMENT, THEREBY PROVIDING CHILDREN OF WORKING FAMILIES SKILLS AND HOPE FOR LIFELONG DEVELOPMENT. PROJECT OPEN HAND'S MISSION IS TO IMPROVE HEALTH OUTCOMES AND QUALITY OF LIFE BY PROVIDING NUTRITIOUS MEALS TO THE SICK AND VULNERABLE, CARING FOR AND EDUCATING OUR COMMUNITY. MEALS ARE MEDICALLY TAILORED TO ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF OLDER ADULTS, PEOPLE LIVING WITH CHRONIC DISEASE AND VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES EXPERIENCING FOOD AND NUTRITION INSECURITY. OUR MEDICALLY TAILORED MEAL INTERVENTION INCLUDES MEALS THAT ARE CATERED TO ADDRESSS SPECIFIC DIETARY NEEDS PAIRED WITH EDUCATION PROVIDED ONE ON ONE OR IN A CLASSROOM SETTING BY REGISTERED DIETITIANS.

SCIENTIFIC/EDUCATION ON ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES. PROTECTS THE ENVIRONMENT OF THE PACIFIC RIM BY STRENGTHENING LOCAL ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERSHIP IN CHINA, THE ARCTIC, ALASKA, AND CALIFORNIA.

WOMEN DONORS NETWORK IS A COMMUNITY WITH A PURPOSE - TOGETHER WE CONNECT, LEARN, AND TAKE ACTION TO FURTHER OUR SHARED VISION OF A MORE JUST, EQUITABLE, AND SUSTAINABLE WORLD. WDN BUILDS COMMUNITY AMONG WOMEN DONORS, DEVELOPS INDIVIDUAL WOMEN DONORS TO BE THEIR MOST POWERFUL SELVES, SUPPORTS THE FIELD WITH BEDROCK FUNDING THAT SHIFTS POWER AND RESOURCES TO COMMUNITIES, AND INCUBATES HIGH-IMPACT INITIATIVES THAT SEEK TO CREATE LASTING SYSTEMIC CHANGE.

Also included are work activity centers which provide personal and social development opportunities for participants who have demonstrated inconsequential production capacity.

FUSE CORPS IS A NATIONAL NONPROFIT WITH A MISSION OF FREEING OUR COUNTRY FROM THE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC BARRIERS TO OPPORTUNITIES THAT HAVE BEEN PERPETUATED BY A HISTORY OF SYSTEMIC AND INSTITUTIONALIZED RACISM. WE PARTNER WITH LOCAL GOVERNMENTS AND COMMUNITIES TO MORE EFFECTIVELY ADDRESS PRESSING CHALLENGES BY PLACING EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONALS IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES. THESE FUSE EXECUTIVE FELLOWS LEAD STRATEGIC PROJECTS THAT ARE DESIGNED TO ACCELERATE PROGRESS AND ADVANCE RACIAL EQUITY. OUR WORK FOCUSES ON ISSUES SUCH AS AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND HOMELESSNESS WORKFORCE TRAINING AND LIVING-WAGE JOBS PANDEMIC RESPONSE AND HEALTH EQUITY EDUCATION REFORM AND DIGITAL ACCESS PUBLIC SAFETY AND JUSTICE REFORM CLIMATE RESILIENCE AND GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE AND MORE. FUSE HAS WORKED ON OVER 250 PROJECTS IN 42 CITIES AND COUNTIES ACROSS 18 STATES SERVING A COMBINED POPULATION OF 25 MILLION PEOPLE. THE MAJORITY OF OUR ALUMNI CONTINUE TO WORK IN CIVIC LEADERSHIP AND NEARLY ALL OUR GOVERNMENT PARTNERS

JOHN BURTON ADVOCATES FOR YOUTH (JBAY) IMPROVES THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR YOUTH IN CALIFORNIA WHO HAVE BEEN IN FOSTER CARE OR HOMELESS BY ADVOCATING FOR BETTER LAWS, TRAINING COMMUNITIES TO STRENGTHEN LOCAL PRACTICES AND CONDUCTING RESEARCH TO INFORM POLICY SOLUTIONS.
