FOUNDED IN SAN FRANCISCO'S RICHMOND DISTRICT IN 1974, RAMS OFFERS COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES THAT AIM TO MEET THE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH, SOCIAL, VOCATIONAL, AND EDUCATIONAL NEEDS OF THE DIVERSE COMMUNITY OF THE SAN FRANCISCO AREA WITH SPECIAL FOCUS ON THE ASIAN & PACIFIC ISLANDER AMERICAN AND RUSSIAN-SPEAKING POPULATIONS. FROM JANUARY 1, 2021 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2021, RAMS SERVED APPROXIMATELY 10,000 ADULTS, CHILDREN, AND FAMILIES, AND CURRENTLY PROVIDES SERVICES IN OVER 30 LANGUAGES AND DIALECTS.

IS THE EMPOWERMENT OF THE ASIAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY TO ACHIEVE SOCIAL EQUALITY BY REDUCING DEPENDENCY TO CREATE AND EXPAND ACCESS TO OPPORTUNITIES IN THE AREAS OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, HOUSING AND EDUCATION. THE MOST SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES INCLUDE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND RESEARCH FOR STRENGTHENING THE INFRASTRUCTURES OF ASIAN AMERICAN COMMUNITIES IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA AND TO ASSIST IN THEIR PHYSICAL, ECONOMIC, AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT.

SUPPORTING STUDENTS AGES 6 TO 18 WITH THEIR WRITING SKILLS & HELPING TEACHERS GET STUDENTS EXCITED ABOUT WRITING. WE ADVOCATE THAT STRONG WRITING SKILLS ARE FUNDAMENTAL TO FUTURE SUCCESS & THAT GREAT LEAPS IN LEARNING CAN BE MADE WHEN SKILLED TUTORS WORK ONE-ON-ONE WITH STUDENTS.
