THE ORGANIZATION WAS FOUNDED AS A " SUPPORTING ORGANIZATION" WITHIN THE MEANING OF IRC 509(A)(3)(B) THAT WILL SUPPORT THE SAN DIEGO ANGELS. INC., WHICH IS A CALIFORNIA NONPROFIT MUTUAL BENEFIT CORPORATION EXEMPT FROM FEDERAL TAXES UNDER IRC 501(C)(6).SAN DIEGO ANGELS FOSTER'S AND PROMOTES ENTREPRENEURIAL ACTIVITY BY PROVIDING MENTORING, EDUCATION, GUIDANCE AND FUNDING TO EARLY-STAGE , HIGH-GROWTH COMPANIES IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

Also included are social clubs that provide opportunities for people to meet and socialize with their peers at dances, parties, picnics, barbecues and other companionable events; and special interest clubs which enable people to share hobbies or other interests with individuals with those same interests.

MANA DE SAN DIEGO'S MISSION IS TO EMPOWER LATINAS THROUGH EDUCATION, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, COMMUNITY SERVICE, AND ADVOCACY. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH HERMANITAS YOUTH MENTORSHIP PROGRAM, SCHOLARSHIPS, AND LATINA SUCCESS LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS.
