THE ORINDA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION IS ORGANIZED FOR THE PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF SUPPORTING COMMUNITY EVENTS, PROGRAMS, PROJECTS, VISUAL AND PERFOMING ARTS, AND COMMUNITY RELATED PARTNERSHIPS IN ORINDA. THE FOUNDATION SERVES TO FACILITATE AND DEVELOP PHILANTHROPY, ENGAGE IN GRANT MAKING, AND TO TAKE OTHER ACTIONS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE ORINDA COMMUNITY NOT INCONSISTENT WITH STATED PURPOSE.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to provide preventive, diagnostic and treatment services in a variety of community and hospital-based settings to help people to achieve and maintain a state of emotional well-being, personal empowerment and the skills to cope with everyday demands without excessive stress.

THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE AT ORINDA INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL (OIS) AND PROVIDE FUDNING AND SUPPORT FOR PEOPLE, PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS, ALL OF WHICH IMPROVE THE MIDDLE SCHOOL EXPERIENCE FOR OIS STUDENTS AND PARENTS.

ENHANCE THE EDUCATION, SCHOOL ACTIVITIES, AND WELFARE OF MIRAMONTE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP OF STUDENTS, PARENTS, AND EDUCATORS.

The goal of this organization is to conduct research in astronomy, the physical science that addresses matter and energy in the universe using observational techniques such as spectroscopy, photometry, interferometry, radio astronomy and optical astronomy.
