FOUNDED IN 1974, WE ARE A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION COMPRISED OF PROFESSIONALS, RESTAURATEURS, RETAILERS, ORGANIZATIONS, AND INDIVIDUALS LOCATED WITHIN ONE BLOCK OF SOLANO AVENUE IN ALBANY OR BERKELEY, AND SAN PABLO AVENUE IN ALBANY.

BERKELEY ART CENTER IS A CONTEMPORARY ART SPACE IN NORTH BERKELEY THAT DEVELOPS AND PRESENTS VISUAL ARTS EXHIBITIONS WITH A FOCUS ON REGIONAL ARTISTS. RELATED PUBLIC PROGRAMS INCLUDE LECTURES, ARTIST TALKS, FILM SCREENINGS, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS FOR ARTISTS AND COMMUNITY-BUILDING EVENTS. AUDIENCES COME FROM THROUGHOUT THE REGION AND REFLECT THE AREA?S STRONG SUPPORT FOR ARTS AND CULTURE AT THE COMMUNITY LEVEL.

PEOPLE'S COMMUNITY FOUNDATION MISSION IS TO PROVIDE RESOURCES TO PEOPLE IN NEED IN THE COMMUNITIES IT SERVES AND TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR OTHER PROGRAMS WHO ARE SERVING THOSE COMMUNITIES. ITS PROGRAM ALSO PROVIDES A MOBILE HEALTH CLINIC, ACCESS TO FOOD, AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION.
