THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED BY SPONSORING OUTINGS TO THE THEATER, MOVIES, DINNING OUT AND OTHER PLACES WHERE SOCIAL INTERACTION CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED. THE ORGANIZATION ATTEMPTS TO ADDRESS THE SOCIAL ISOLATION OF SENIORS. SOCIAL INTERACTION IS CRITICAL FOR THE HEALTH OF SENIORS.

INDEPENDENCE HOUSE WILL LEASE OR PURCHASE GROUP HOUSING THAT WILL ACCOMODATE INDIVIDUALS OR FAMILIES THAT ARE HOMELESS. IT WILL ALSO PROVIDE TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR THE HOMELESS AND LOW INCOME FAMILIES.
