The goal of this organization are the organizations like chambers of commerce, business leagues and commercial trade associations whose members are businessmen and women and merchants who have affiliated for the purpose of promoting the general commercial interests of the community or the interests of their own trade. [Many of these are found in section 501(c)(6) business leagues; and 501(c)(6) chambers of commerce.]

MISSION:

THE BUNKERHILL INDUSTRIAL PARK SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT MANAGEMENT CORPORATION (SID) IS A NONPROFIT CORPORATION ESTABLISHED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF NEW JERSEY STATE STATUTE N.J.S.A. 40:56-65. THE SID WAS FORMED TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE BUNKER HILL SECTION OF THE CITY OF PATERSON, NEW JERSEY BY PROVIDING THE RESIDENTS WITH A SAFE, CLEAN AND ENJOYABLE ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH TO LIVE AND WORK. THE SIDE WORKS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BUSINESS AND GOVERNMENT TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT PROGRAMS THAT WILL STRENGTHEN THE PHYSICAL AND ECONOMIC VITALITY OF THE BUNKER HILL SECTION.

THE ENGLEWOOD ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, ("EEDC"), AN INDEPENDENT NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION, WAS INCORPORATED ON SEPTEMBER 21, 1978, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING AND ASSISTING THE INDUSTRIAL, COMMERCIAL, AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD (THE "CITY"), NEW JERSEY, WITH A FOCUS ON THE DOWNTOWN AREA OF THE CITY. AMONG ITS TASKS, EEDC IS THE DISTRICT MANAGEMENT CORPORATION FOR THE ENGLEWOOD SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT ("S.I.D."), WHICH WAS ESTABLISHED BY ORDINANCE OF THE ENGLEWOOD CITY COUNCIL ON MAY 20, 1985, TO PROMOTE THE ECONOMIC HEALTH OF THE DOWNTOWN AREA. ITS BUDGET IS RE-AUTHORIZED ANNUALLY.
