The goal of this organization is to build, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide rental housing for low-income individuals and families, older adults and people with disabilities; or which make purchasable housing available to low or moderate income families by offering lower priced housing and/or affordable payment plans, by arranging for interest or mortgage subsidies or by involving eventual owners in the construction process (sweat equity).

TO ADVANCE AND PROMOTE MEANINGFUL COMMUNICATIONS AND RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS AS A UNIFIED GROUP OF PROFESSIONAL HOUSING DIRECTORS WITH REGARD TO PUBLIC HOUSING POLICY; 3. TO ADVANCE AND PROMOTE COMMUNICATIONS WITH FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL AGENCIES AND OFFICIALS, RESIDENT GROUPS, HOUSING DEVELOPMENT GROUPS, HOUSING ADVOCACY GROUPS, BUSINESSES, AND OTHER 2 MAXCEN HOUSING SOCIETY INC. BYLAWS AGENCIES AND ORGANIZATIONS TO CARRY OUT POLICIES AND GOALS FOR AFFORDABLE AND PUBLIC HOUSING PURPOSES; 4. TO FORMULATE AN EDUCATIONAL AND COMMUNICATION NETWORK TO IMPROVE THE EXPERTISE IN THE HOUSING FIELD BY EDUCATIONAL MEETINGS, WORKSHOPS, PERIODIC NEWSLETTERS, ELECTRONIC MEDIA, AND PREPARATION OF TEXTS; 5. TO COLLECT DONATIONS FROM MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION AND OTHER INTERESTED

MISSION:

PHILANTHROPIC EFFORTS IN JOHNSON COUNTY, MO WITH A FOCUS ON HOUSING AND MAINTENANCE OF HOMELESS AND DISPLACED PERSONS OF ALL AGES AND ESPECIALLY CHILDREN AND YOUTH IN THE CARE OF SOCIAL SERVICES.

43 YOUTHS, AGES 18 TO 28 WERE TRAINED IN CONSTRUCTION, INSTRUCTED FOR HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCIES AND ASSISTED IN OBTAINING EMPLOYMENT.
