MISSION:

THE COMMUNITY ALLIANCE IS A MONTHLY NEWSPAPER THAT HAS BEEN PUBLISHED IN FRESNO CALIFORNIA SINCE 1996. THE PURPOSE OF THE NEWSPAPER IS TO HELP BUILD A PROGRESSIVE MOVEMENT FOR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC JUSTICE. THIS IS DONE BY SUPPORTING: IMMIGRANT RIGHTS WORKERS BEING PAID A LIVING WAGE ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE POLICE ACCOUNTABILITY UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE FOR ALL LGBTQ RIGHTS FULLY FUNDED PUBLIC SCHOOLS WE OPPOSE THE RIGHT-WING AGENDA OF DEREGULATION PRIVATIZATION VOTER SUPPRESSION AND DEFUNDING SOCIAL SERVICE PROGRAMS.

MISSION:

SEE STATEMENT AA) TO ADVOCATE FOR NATIONAL AND GLOBAL LGBTQ CIVIL RIGHTS. TO ADVOCATE FOR MARRIAGE EQUALITY GLOBALLY AND TO EDUCATE THE INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC ABOUT LGBTQ EQUALITY.

EMPOWER THE LOW INCOME FAMILIES AND RECENT IMMIGRANTS THROUGH SERVICES, EDUCATION, ORGANIZING, CIVIC ENGAGEMENT AND ADVOCACY.

OUR KIDS OUR FUTURE IS A VOTER-LED CAMPAIGN TO PASS THE SONOMA COUNTY CHILD CARE & CHILDREN'S HEALTH INITIATIVE, WHICH WILL ESTABLISH A LOCAL REVENUE STREAM DEDICATED TO SUPPORTING OUR YOUNGEST RESIDENTS.

BLACK SKEPTICS LOS ANGELES (BSLA) IS A SOUTH LOS ANGELES-BASED NONPROFIT DEDICATED TO PROMOTING AND SUPPORTING BLACK AND BIPOC SECULAR COMMUNITIES AND INDIVIDUALS, WITH AN EMPHASIS ON PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING, ARTS EDUCATION, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, AND CAREER READINESS RESOURCES FOR BLACK GIRLS, BLACK LGBTQ+ YOUTH, AND BLACK WOMEN. SINCE 2013, BSLA HAS PROVIDED FIRST IN THE FAMILY COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS, PAID INTERNSHIPS, AND PREVENTION EDUCATION AND SUPPORT RESOURCES FOR BIPOC SECULAR, UNDOCUMENTED, LGBTQ+, FOSTER CARE, DISABLED, AND SYSTEM-INVOLVED YOUTH FROM ACROSS THE NATION.
