IS TO PROMOTE NONVIOLENCE, VOTING RIGHTS, CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, SOCIAL JUSTICE, DEMOCRACY, INTERNATIONAL PEACE, HUMAN RIGHTS AND CIVIL LIBERTIES AND TO PRESERVE AND STUDY AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY AND CULTURE AND THE HISTORY OF THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT IN THE UNITED STATES. THE FOUNDATION WAS FOUNDED IN 2017 AS A GEORGIA NONPROFIT CORPORATION. IT WAS QUALIFIED BY THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE AS A TAX EXEMPT 501(C)(3) CORPORATION IN 2019.
