TO ADMINISTER QUALITY SOCCER LEAGUES, TOURNAMENTS AND EVENTS FOR RESIDENTS OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA AND THE GREATER METRO AREA. WE ARE COMMITTED TO CREATING OPPORTUNITIES IN THE SPORT FOR PEOPLE NO MATTER THEIR BACKGROUND, PERSUASION OR ECONOMIC RESOURCES.

THE GOAL OF CAMP RISING SUN IS TO PROVIDE CHILDREN WITH A TRADITIONAL CAMP EXPERIENCE WHILE RECOGNIZING AND MEETING THEIR HEALTH NEEDS. IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THIS GOAL, CAMP RISING SUN HAS TO BE STAFFED 24 HOURS A DAY BY MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS, FULLY TRAINED COUNSELORS, AND MANY LOCAL VOLUNTEERS. ALL FUNDS SOLICITED FROM CONTRIBUTORS GO TOWARDS MEETING THE MANY PHYSICAL COSTS OF RUNNING A CAMP. THE PURPOSE OF CAMP RISING SUN IS STRICTLY NOT FOR PROFIT.

THE APGA BOARD OF DIRECTORS WORK TO ACCOMPLISH THIS BY HOSTING AND OPERATING PROFESSIONAL GOLF TOURNAMENTS, PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS, MENTORING PROGRAMS AND BY INTRODUCING THE GAME TO INNER CITY YOUNG PEOPLE.
