MISSION:

THE MISSION OF THE HAMDEN LAND CONSERVATION TRUST IS TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE OPEN SPACE IN HAMDEN THROUGH PURCHASE, DONATION OR EASEMENTS, AND TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT CONSERVATION ISSUES.

IUSS IS AN ASSOCIATION OF (1) ORGANIZATIONS THAT REPRESENT THE SOIL SCIENTISTS OF A COUNTRY AND (2) INDIVIDUALS WHO SUPPORT SOIL SCIENCES

The goal of this organization is to preserve and protect endangered land resources from indiscriminate development, destruction or decay and which manage the utilization of renewable and nonrenewable resources to ensure ongoing availability. Included are conservation of the nations forests, rangeland, vegetation, deserts, wild and scenic rivers and other wilderness areas and open land spaces; and reestablishment of areas that have been devastated by destructive activities such as strip mining or other destructive activities.

THE LITTLETON CONSERVATION TRUST (LCT) IS A PRIVATE LAND TRUST FORMED IN 1962 TO PROMOTE LITTLETON'S RURAL CHARACTER, TO PRESERVE ITS WATER, PLANT, AND WILDLIFE RESOURCES AND ITS UNIQUE VIEWS; AND TO PROVIDE ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION.

THE OUABACHE LAND CONSERVANCY PROTECTS, PRESERVES AND RESTORES LAND IN WEST-CENTRAL INDIANA TO PROVIDE HABITAT FOR WILDLIFE, MAINTAIN NATURAL SCENIC BEAUTY, IMPROVE WATER AND AIR QUALITY, WHILE ENHANCING THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN OUR COMMUNITIES FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.
