THE FOUNDATION OPERATED A 33' MOBILE CLASSROOM/LAB THAT VISITED SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT THE GREATER LOS ANGELES COUNTY VECTOR CONTROLS DISTRICT'S SERVICE AREA, COVERING 1,340 SQUARE MILES OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY. THE AGING "BUG BUS" WAS REPLACED IN 2017 BY THE NEW "MOSQUITO SWAT LAB", A HIGH-TECH INTERACTIVE STEAM EXPERIENCE TARGETING 4TH-7TH GRADE STUDENTS. THIS PROGRAM REACHED APPROXIMATELY 6,700 STUDENTS PER SCHOOLS YEAR AND WAS ALSO UTILIZED FOR OTHER YOUTH OUTREACH AND COMMUNITY FAIR EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THIS HIGHLY SOUGHT-AFTER PROGRAM WAS OFFERED AT NO COST AND WAS AVAILABLE TO NEARLY 900 SCHOOLS, MANY OF WHICH ARE TITLE I SCHOOLS.
