*TO SUPPORT ACTIVITIES WHICH FOSTER PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE AND APPRECIATION OF TAIWANESE CULTURE AND HERITAGE. *TO SERVE AS A FORUM WHERE TAIWANESE AMERICANS OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA MAY VOICE CONCERNS OF MUTUAL INTEREST IN A CONCERTED AND COORDINATED EFFORT WITH ALLIED NON-PROFIT GROUPS AND WITH THE COMMUNITY.

IN A VARIETY OF CAPACITIES, THE FOUNDATION ACTED IN DIFFERENT ROLES OF THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES:1.EVENTS SPONSORED, PLANNED AND HELD SOLELY BY FOUNDATION INCLUDING FUND RAISING EVENTS, NEW YEAR BANQUETS, CHRISTMAS CHARITY ACTIVITIES, MISS TAIWANESE AMERICAN PAGEANT, AND ANNUAL MEETINGS; ALSO THE IMMEDIATE RESPONSE TO BRING AIDS FROM TAIWANESE AMERICANS TO EMERGENCY SITUATIONS THAT ARISE.2. EVENTS CO-SPONSORED BY THE FOUNDATION IN CONJUNCTION WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING CITIZENSHIP WORKSHOP, ENERGY SAVING EDUCATION FAIR, COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER SERVICE, VOTERS' REGISTRATION, AND U.S. CENSUS EDUCATION ETC.3. EVENTS COORDINATED BY THE FOUNDATION AND SPONSORED BY VARIOUS ORGANIZATIONS: SUCH AS THE TAIWANESE-AMERICAN HERITAGE WEEK CELEBRATIONS; THIS ANNUAL EVENT BRINGS OVER THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE TOGETHER TO ENJOY AND LEARN ABOUT TAIWANESE-AMERICAN CULTURE, ENHANCING THE HARMONIOUS RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DIFFERENT ETHNICITY GROUPS IN AMERICA.4. THE FOUNDATION SPONSORS ACTIVITIES WHICH BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER REGULARLY FOR RECREATIONAL AND EDUCATION PURPOSES SUCH AS TAIWAN CENTER CHORUS, TAIWAN CENTER TABLE TENNIS TEAM, DANCING CLASSES FOR HEALTH AND SOCIAL PURPOSES, COMPUTER CLASSES, LANGUAGE CLASSES AND TAIWAN CENTER SOCIAL WORKER VOLUNTEERS GROUP.
