OUR MISSION IS TO ADVANCE THE WELL-BEING OF CHILDREN, PROMOTE ACCESS TO HIGH QUALITY PEDIATRIC HEALTH CARE, AND ENSURE THE LONG-TERM VIABILITY OF CHILDRENS HOSPITALS.

ANALYSIS AND ADVOCACY RELATED TO STATE AND FEDERAL LEGISLATION AFFECTING THE DELIVERY OF PEDIATRIC HEALTH CARE SERVICES. CCHA ACTIVELY ANALYZES PROPOSED BILLS AND POLICY CHANGES TO ENSURE THE EFFECT WILL NOT BE DETRIMENTAL TO PEDIATRIC PROVIDERS AND ADVOCATES BASED ON ESTABLISHED POLICY POSITIONS. CCHA FOCUSES ON PRESERVING ACCESS TO QUALITY CARE FOR ALL CHILDREN AS WELL AS APPROPRIATE FINANCING FOR PATIENTS AND PROVIDERS.


RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF LEGISLATIVE PROPOSALS AND AMENDMENTS AFFECTING THE DELIVERY OF PEDIATRIC HEALTH CARE SERVICES. CCHA OFTEN DRAFTS AMENDMENTS AND LEGISLATIVE PROPOSALS IN RESPONSE TO A PROPOSED POLICY CHANGE OR TO ADDRESS IDENTIFIED AREAS OF NEED TO ASSIST PEDIATRIC PROVIDERS IN THEIR MISSION TO PROVIDE QUALITY HEALTH CARE.


PROVIDE COORDINATION, COMMUNICATION AND LIAISON TO FEDERAL AND STATE HEALTH CARE AGENCIES AND DEPARTMENTS WITH RESPECT TO POLICIES AND ISSUES AFFECTING PEDIATRIC HEALTH CARE. OFFICIALS OF BOTH STATE AND FEDERAL AGENCIES OFTEN CALL CCHA TO ANSWER QUESTIONS, COMMENT ON PROPOSED REGULATIONS AND IMPROVE THE COORDINATION OF POLICY IMPLEMENTATION AMONG ALL THOSE AFFECTED BY THE POLICY.
