THE MONTECITO PROTECTIVE & IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION SEEKS TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE SEMI-RURAL CHARACTER OF OUR COMMUNITY AND PROVIDE A VOICE FOR OUR COMMUNITY. THE WAYS IN WHICH WE ACHIEVE THIS MISSION ARE (SEE SCHEDULE O):

THE ASSOCIATION SPONSORS A 'VILLAGE FOURTH COMMUNITY PARADE AND CELEBRATION' EVENT ANNUALLY WHICH PROMOTES COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT ALONG WITH THE MONTECITO HOLIDAY PARADE. THIS EVENT OCCURRED AGAIN IN 2021 AFTER BEING SUSPENDED BECAUSE OF COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS.ADDITIONALLY, THE ASSOCIATION SPONSORS AN ANNUAL 'BEAUTIFICATION DAY' IN WHICH RESIDENTS OF THE COMMUNITY MEET TOGETHER AND CLEAN UP AREAS OF THE COMMUNITY THAT NEED WORK.IN 2021, THE ASSOCIATION HOSTED AN EVENT CALLED 'HANDS ACROSS MONTECITO' WHICH IS A HOMELESS OUTREACH PROGRAM.
