OUR MISSION IS ENSURING OUR YOUNGEST CHILDREN HAVE A SOLID FOUNDATION FOR LIFE. WE PROVIDE EDUCATION, NUTRITION, HEALTH AND SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL SERVICES TO ELIGIBLE LOW-INCOME CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES THROUGH EARLY HEAD START AND HEAD START PROGRAMS.

FEDERAL HEAD START PROGRAM - A FEDERALLY FUNDED PROGRAM THAT PROMOTES SCHOOL READINESS BY ENHANCING THE SOCIAL AND COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT OF LOW-INCOME CHILDREN THROUGH THE PROVISION OF COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH, EDUCATIONAL, NUTRITIONAL, SOCIAL AND OTHER SERVICES, AND PARENT INVOLVEMENT IN ALL ASPECTS OF THE PROGRAM.


STATE OF OREGON PRE-KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM PROVIDES HEAD START SERVICES FOR ADDITIONAL CHILDREN THROUGH THE OREGON DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION. PROVIDING THE SAME EDUCATION, HEALTH, FAMILY, AND SPECIAL SERVICES AS THE FEDERAL HEAD START PROGRAM.


FEDERAL EARLY HEAD START PROGRAM - A FEDERALLY FUNDED PROGRAM THAT PROMOTES SCHOOL READINESS OF INFANTS AND TODDLERS BY ENHANCING THEIR COGNITIVE, SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS THAT SUPPORT THEIR GROWTH IN LANGUAGE, LITERACY, MATHEMATICS, SCIENCE, SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL FUNCTIONING, CREATIVE ART, PHYSICAL SKILLS, AND APPROACHES TO LEARNING.
