GOODWILL OF THE OLYMPICS AND RAINIER REGION IS COMMITTED TO DISMANTLING RACISM AND ADVANCING EQUITY, DIVERSITY, AND INCLUSION SO THAT WE CAN HELP PEOPLE REACH THEIR FULLEST POTENTIAL THROUGH EDUCATION, JOB PLACEMENT, AND CAREER PATHWAY SERVICES. WE DO OUR WORK WITH GREAT GRATITUDE FOR THE COMMUNITY DONATIONS, PURCHASES, AND PARTNERSHIPS THAT MAKE OUR MISSION POSSIBLE.

RETAIL, SALVAGE, DONATIONS AND PRODUCTION TRAINING CENTERS - EMPLOYED 1,161 PEOPLE. GOODWILL OPERATES 34 THRIFT STORES IN 9 WASHINGTON COUNTIES. OVER 3.45 MILLION SHOPPERS CONTINUED TO EMBRACE GOODWILL'S WIDE SELECTION AND VALUE PRICING. BY GROWING RETAIL OPERATIONS, GOODWILL CREATES MORE JOBS AND FUNDS MORE JOB TRAINING, RESPONDING TO THE INCREASING NEED IN THE COMMUNITIES WE SERVE. GOODWILL RETAIL STORES PROVIDE JOBS AND TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES IN ADDITION TO GENERATING FUNDS FOR JOB TRAINING PROGRAMS. FROM COLLECTION POINTS AT STORES AND ATTENDED DONATION STATIONS, GOODS NEED TO BE SORTED, PRICED, AND DISPLAYED. WORK TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES ABOUND IN OUR TRAINING CENTERS ALLOWING AMPLE OPPORTUNITY FOR PEOPLE WITH SIGNIFICANT DISABILITIES OR DISADVANTAGES TO MOVE INTO THE WORK FORCE. STRICT QUALITY STANDARDS GUIDE THE SELECTION OF ITEMS NOT SUITABLE FOR SALE IN THE RETAIL STORES. GOODWILL STRIVES TO RECYCLE DONATED ITEMS NOT SUITABLE FOR SALE IN THE RETAIL STORES. WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT TRAINING CENTERS - EMPLOYED 492 PEOPLE. OVER NINETY PERCENT OF REVENUES ARE RETURNED TO JOBS AND JOB TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE DISABILITIES OR DISADVANTAGES. WORKFORCE SERVICED AN UNDUPLICATED 5,946 PARTICIPANTS. PROGRAMS RANGE FROM FINANCIAL LITERACY SKILLS TRAINING,EMPLOYMENT COACHING AND FINANCIAL COUNSELING, WAREHOUSE & LOGISTICS SKILLS TRAINING, COMPUTER TRAINING FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES, AND TRAINING ON JOB SEARCH SKILLS, AND WORK BEHAVIOR READINESS. PLACEMENT (285 JOB PLACEMENTS PROVIDED) INCLUDES SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT FOR PEOPLE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES, EMPLOYMENT PLACEMENT PROGRAMS INCLUDE PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AS WELL AS PEOPLE ENTERING THE WORKFORCE WITH OTHER BARRIERS SUCH AS WELFARE HISTORY AND LACK OF WORK SKILLS OR BEHAVIOR. YOUTH AT RISK PROVIDED PROGRAMS IN CONSTRUCTION TRADE, GED TRAINING, YOUTH RECOVERY CORPS AND OTHER SUMMER PROGRAMS. GORR GRADUATES WHO ARE PURSUING OTHER EDUCATION AND TRAINING 183 INDIVIDUALS. SENIOR MATURE WORKERS PROVIDED TRAINING IN OFFICE AND OTHER SKILLS. VETERANS' SERVICES AND TRAINING ARE PROVIDED TO THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED. THE EMERGENCY RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (ERAP) STRONGLY ALIGNS WITH OUR MISSION TO HELP PEOPLE TO REACH THEIR FULLEST POTENTIAL WITH THE SUPPORT OF EDUCATION, CAREER SERVICES, PARTNERSHIPS, AND RESOURCE NAVIGATION. HOUSING IS A NECESSARY INGREDIENT IN BEING EMPLOYED AND SELF-SUFFICIENT: THIS ECONOMIC RELIEF IS A CRITICAL PIECE TO HELP STRUGGLING HOUSEHOLDS MAINTAIN AND ALSO MOVE TOWARD LONG TERM IMPROVEMENT IN EMPLOYMENT AND STABILITY. GOODWILLS VOCATIONAL AND EMPLOYMENT SERVICES, NOW COUPLED WITH RENTAL RELIEF, BRINGS TOGETHER A UNIQUE BLEND OF IMMEDIATE SUPPORT AND INCOME FOR HIGHLY VULNERABLE HOUSEHOLDS COMBINED WITH RELEVANT CAREER RESOURCES AND LONG TERM ENGAGEMENT THAT CAN MOVE PEOPLE OUT OF POVERTY AND ONTO A SELF-SUFFICIENT PATHWAY.
