THESE ACTIVITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO INTERACTING WITH LEGISLATORS AND REGULATORS AND PARTICIPATING IN RULEMAKINGS THAT WOULD IMPACT THE USE OF FRAGRANCES IN A VARIETY OF PRODUCTS.

ADVOCACY: THE FSAC WILL BRING SCIENCE AND TECHNICAL EXPERTISE TO THE ADVOCACY MARKET IN THE FRAGRANCE INDUSTRY BY RETAINING LOBBYISTS TO EXAMINE LEGAL ISSUES AT THE STATE AND FEDERAL LEVELS, IN ORDER TO ENSURE THAT FRAGRANCE INGREDIENTS ARE DEFENDED AND PROTECTED. INDUSTRY ADVOCACY EFFORTS, WHICH ARE LED BY THE GOVERNMENT RELATIONS AND SCIENTIFIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEES OF THE FSAC, BEGAN REMOTELY AND VIRTUALLY IN APRIL OF 2021.
EDUCATION: THE FSAC WILL EDUCATE LEGISLATORS, REGULATORS, INDUSTRY STAKEHOLDERS AND CONSUMERS ON THE SAFETY OF FRAGRANCE PRODUCTS AND MATERIALS AT THE SCIENTIFIC LEVEL BY DEFENDING FRAGRANCE INGREDIENTS AND PROVIDING STRONG SCIENCE AND TECHNICAL PUBLIC POLICY SUPPORT TO ADVANCE AND PROTECT THE FRAGRANCE INDUSTRY. EDUCATION THROUGH SCIENCE-BASED AND TECHNICAL PUBLIC POLICY SUPPORT, WHICH IS LED BY THE FSAC'S SCIENTIFIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, BEGAN REMOTELY AND VIRTUALLY IN APRIL OF 2021.
COMMUNICATION: THE FSAC WILL BUILD NARRATIVES TO DEFEND KEY FRAGRANCE TOPICS OF INTEREST AND TO PROTECT AND PROMOTE THE INDUSTRY OVERALL BY USING SCIENCE AND TECHNICAL EXPERTISE TO INTERPRET AND COMMUNICATE FRAGRANCE STANDARDS INTO A LANGUAGE THAT REGULATORS AND LEGISLATORS CAN UNDERSTAND.
