DURING THE YEAR, SUPPORT WAS PROVIDED TO MARYLAND FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED FUNDING FOR RESPITE SERVICES TO FAMILIES WHICH INCLUDED FUNDING FOR CAREGIVERS TO CARE FOR CHILDREN IN HOME AS WELL AS OUT OF HOME ENABLING CHILDREN TO PARTICIPATE IN CAMPS, THERAPY AND OTHER RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES. IN ADDITION TO FUNDING PROVIDED, THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO FAMILIES WITH SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN FIND RESOURCES MADE AVAILABLE AT STATE AND LOCAL LEVELS WHICH CAN SUBSIDIZE COSTS FOR CARING FOR A SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD.
