Describe the Organization's Mission:

Part 3 - Line 1

TO PROVIDE ALPINE SKI RACING YOUTH WITH AN ENVIRONMENT OF EDUCATION, COMMUNICATION AND TEAMWORK, WHICH EMPOWERS EACH ATHLETE TO REACH THEIR ATHLETIC, PERSONAL AND ACADEMIC POTENTIAL DURING AND BEYOND THEIR PARK CITY SKI TEAM EXPERIENCE.

Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

- IN 2017 WE SUCCESSFULLY LED THE INTEGRATION OF PCSEF AND FIVE OTHER COMMUNITY BASED WINTER SPORTS PROGRAMS INTO THE FORMATION OF PARK CITY SKI & SNOWBOARD (PCSS) UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF UTAH OLYMPIC LEGACY FOUNDATION. PCSS ASSUMED ALL STAFF AND PROGRAMMING RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PCSEF, WITH PCSEF'S BOARD OF TRUSTEES SERVING AS LEADERSHIP ON THE PCSS BOARD OF MANAGERS. THE PRIMARY DRIVERS FOR THIS MERGER INCLUDED: 1) CREATING BETTER OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUTH IN THE COMMUNITY TO PURSUE THEIR INTERESTS WITHIN ONE, MULTISPORT PROGRAM VS NAVIGATING FIVE INDEPENDENT PROGRAMS; AND, 2) ESTABLISHING AN ON-MOUNTAIN TRAINING FACILITY THAT THE PROGRAMS COULD CONTROL THE AVAILABILITY OF TRAINING SPACE, QUALITY OF SNOW SURFACE AND EARLY-SEASON ON-SNOW TRAINING. THROUGH THE ULOF AND THE UTAH OLYMPIC PARK, WE DETERMINED THAT THIS FACILITY PROVIDED THE GREATEST OPPORTUNITY TO SUSTAIN WINTER SPORTS IN OUR COMMUNITY. - OVER THE PAST 5 YEARS AND THROUGH THE 2022 SEASON WE HAVE CONTINUED TO SUPPORT PCSS ALPINE THROUGH OUR SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS AND TRANSPORTATION FUNDS, AND PCSS ALPINE HAS OCCUPIED THE PCSEF TEAM ROOM AT THE BASE OF PARK CITY MOUNTAIN RESORT UNDER A LEASE WHEREIN PCSS ALPINE COVERS THE COSTS OF OWNING AND OPERATING THE FACILITY. PCSEF CONTINUES TO HAVE REPRESENTATION ON THE PCSS BOARD AND FINANCE COMMITTEE TO ENSURE THAT PCSS IS MEETING BOTH THE PROGRAMMING GOALS OF THE ALPINE PROGRAM AS WELL AS THE FISCAL RESPONSIBILITIES IN MAINTAINING THE LEGACY OF THE PROGRAM.
