THE ORGANIZATION FACILITATES AND IMPLEMENTS ADAPTIVE RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS AND OPPORTUNITIES TO BENEFIT PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AND CHILDREN WITH CANCER, AND PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR THEIR FAMILIES.

DURING 2020-21, ALPINE SKIING TOOK PLACE AT BRIDGER BOWL, BIG SKY, AND THE YELLOWSTONE CLUB, WITH NORDIC SKIING OFFERED AT CROSSCUT MOUNTAIN SPORTS CENTER. WITH THE HELP OF 509 UNIQUE VOLUNTEERS WHO SPENT 12,031 HOURS IN PROGRAMS, 121 PARTICIPANTS WERE ABLE TO GO DOWNHILL SKIING, CROSS COUNTRY SKIING, SNOWBOARDING AND SNOWSHOEING.


EAGLE MOUNT BOZEMAN PROVIDES ADAPTIVE RECREATION FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AND CHILDREN WITH CANCER, AS WELL AS SUPPORT FOR THEIR FAMILIES. EAGLE MOUNT'S PROGRAMS INCLUDE SWIMMING, SKIING, BIG SKY KIDS ONCOLOGY CAMPS, HORSEBACK RIDING, ADVENTURE DAYS, YOUNG AT HEART, EMBLEM (INJURED VETERANS), HORTICULTURE, ICE SKATING, AND FAMILY PROGRAMS.


THE ADAPTIVE HORSEMANSHIP PROGRAM IS ACTIVE YEAR ROUND IN AN ACCREDITED ADAPTIVE RIDING CENTER. LESSONS ARE DESIGNED TO IMPROVE PHYSICAL FITNESS, COGNITIVE ACTIVITY AND JUST TO HAVE FUN. DURING THE YEAR, HORSEMANSHIP WAS ABLE TO RETURN TO A MODEL THAT USED VOLUNTEERS IN CLASSES, EMPHASIZING THE RELATIONSHIPS THAT ARE BUILT AS WELL AS THE PHYSICAL BENEFITS OF RECREATION.
