BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF THE LEWIS CLARK VALLEY BUILDS CHARACTER THROUGH EVERYDAY LEADERSHIP AND GUIDANCE IN BEHAVIOR AND ATTITUDE. YOUNG PEOPLE OF ALL NATIONALITIES, RACES AND CREEDS JOIN TOGETHER IN WHOLESOME RECREATION AND COMPANIONSHIP. TRAINED PROFESSIONAL STAFF PROVIDE POSITIVE ADULT MENTORS AND ROLE MODELS. NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED PROGRAMS HELP YOUNG PEOPLE SUCCEED IN SCHOOL, STAY HEALTHY, LEARN IMPORTANT LIFE SKILLS, PURSUE INTEREST IN ARTS AND SPORTS, AND EXPLORE VOCATIONAL CHOICES. MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE ORGANIZATION SHOWS YOUNGSTERS THAT SOMEONE CARES AND WANTS THEM TO REALIZE THEIR FULL POTENTIAL AS PRODUCTIVE, RESPONSIBLE, AND CARING CITIZENS. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR, THE CLUBS SERVED 2,003 MEMBERS FROM 1,479 HOUSEHOLDS, OF WHICH 30% PARTICIPATE IN FREE & REDUCED LUNCH PROGRAMS, 18% COME FROM HOUSEHOLDS WITH INCOME LESS THAN $30,000 AND 24% COME FROM HOUSEHOLDS WITH A SINGLE PARENT.
